Description:
This conference offers a chance to explore the connections between trauma and domestic and sexual abuse from many perspectives. Participants will learn about the basics of human brain development and memory systems and how trauma can impact them. Experts will teach how to assess the effects of trauma on individuals and family systems.
An academic panel will share current research and theories in an interactive forum. Participants will increase their knowledge of the effects of trauma on clients, whether survivors or perpetrators. There will be opportunities to discuss intervention and programming options while networking with other professionals who intervene with domestic and sexual abuse
