SDFI offers what they call a complete colposcope replacement system. A very high resolution digital camera and lighting source as well as a digital imaging encryption system for image storage and retention to maintain a legally defendable chain of custody for evidence. This SDFI process can also be extended to include a telemedicine portion so that digital images taken can be securely transmitted over the internet to authorized parties.
SDFI uses 256-bit AES encryption to secure image integrity. This helps to maintain a chain of custody that can prove in court that the pictures taken were not altered in any way. By using high quality equipment and encryption standards in the SDFI process, the result is often increased file clarity and better overall file security.
